Written by Geoffrey Dorne theMay 30, 2017 A comment If you've ever been to Ikea, you must have seen them... Maybe you've even left with them! But yes, you know, those blue bags, huge, very solid and with the Ikea logo on them. These mythical bags called Frakta are often practical for moving when you are a student (tested and approved) but something that I did not know, these bags have inspired several designers to design objects, clothes, utensils, each more surprising than the other. For the record, the phenomenon started when the luxury brand Balenciaga wanted to sell a bag for $2,145 (yes, a fortune), a bag that looks exactly like those from Ikea. It was from this moment that designers, artists and handymen began to publish all their creations online, of which here is an excerpt.
How to divert IKEA blue bags? In short, I went around the Government startups Written by Geoffrey Dorne theMay 26, 2017 7 comments With the new government in France, the policy for the country and its image manipulation service institutions seems, according to the words of our president, to be heading towards a Startup Nation. Understand, a State in which the institutions behave like startups ( the takeover by big companies in less I hope ). Out of curiosity, I went to the Beta.gouv.fr/startups site , a site that includes in total: 9 projects under construction 12 projects in consolidation 3 projects in handover (project considered viable) 1 project under investigation (project not yet started) 8 “recovery” projects 1 abandoned project On the site it is specified that a State Startup does not seek to obtain a general consensus before starting, it seeks a first satisfied use.
Chic, it echoes a certain practice of design, prototyping, user testing, etc. The use and the user above all. And in this case, here it is the citizen above all! It is therefore with enthusiasm that I went to discover each project presented. How naïve I was to believe that I could boast even a little, the approach to design through these projects. I won't give you the topo of the 32 “startups” ( go see them anyway, it's interesting ) but here is what I remember. There are many ideas like: Simplify access to Government APIs, Help to resume an activity, Increase the presence of nature in the city.
